VehicleMatic is a developer-first API marketplace for UK automotive data. Look up any UK vehicle by its registration (VRM) — or verify a driving licence — and get DVLA data, full MOT history, valuations, provenance, specification, tyres, battery/EV data and vehicle images back as one clean, normalized JSON response.
How it works, in short
- You call a simple REST endpoint over HTTPS with an API key. No SOAP, no XML.
- Each successful lookup deducts that product's cost from your prepaid credit balance — you top up in advance and pay only for what you use, with no per-vehicle contracts.
- Results are cached, so you only pay again when the data is refreshed.
