Where our data comes from.
We don't guess. Every field we return is sourced from an official register or a licensed data partner, normalized into one schema, and refreshed on a defined schedule.
United Kingdom

Official registers

Each source has a defined freshness window, so you always know how current the data is and when it will next be refreshed from the source.

Using this data lawfully
VehicleMatic is operated by MATIC AUTOMOTIVE LIMITED, registered in England & Wales. We process personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 — see our Privacy Policy.
Where the data we return is personal data, you act as controller and we act as processor for its delivery. You must have a lawful basis and the necessary permissions for the purpose you're using it for. Our Terms set out the restrictions that apply — including that the data must not be used for direct marketing or for tracing individuals.
API keys are hashed at rest, every request is logged against your account, and keys can be scoped to specific products so an integration only reaches the data it needs.
